Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp Tarragon (fresh, chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.25 cup Yellow onion (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Parsley (fresh, chopped)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, milk, tarragon, minced garlic, grated onion, parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Gently mix the ingredients together with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to ensure tender meatballs.

Step 4

Using a tablespoon or small scoop, portion the mixture and roll it into 1-inch meatballs. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and sear them for 2 minutes on each side, until lightly browned. This step adds flavor and improves texture.

Step 6

Once all the meatballs are seared, transfer them back to the baking sheet (if not using an oven-safe skillet). Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the turkey tarragon meatballs with your choice of side—mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh green salad—and enjoy!
