Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef flank steak
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 Green bell pepper
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 0.5 cup Beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 4 cups Cooked white rice

Directions

Step 1

Slice the beef flank steak thinly against the grain into bite-sized strips.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the beef strips to the mixture, toss to coat, and let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add half of the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining beef. Set all cooked beef aside.

Step 4

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and onion, all cut into thin strips. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, oyster sauce, and sugar. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and stir to combine.

Step 7

Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 8

Drizzle with sesame oil for added flavor. Remove from heat and serve hot over cooked white rice.
