Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.75 cup Grape jelly
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, but avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Step 3

Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.

Step 4

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until they are cooked through and lightly browned.

Step 5

While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce by combining the ketchup, grape jelly, and Worcestershire sauce in a large skillet or saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the ingredients are well blended and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Once the meatballs are done baking, carefully transfer them to the skillet with the sauce. Gently stir to coat the meatballs in the sauce, being careful not to break them apart.

Step 7

Simmer the meatballs in the sauce over low heat for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 8

Transfer the meatballs to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm with toothpicks or as part of a main course.
