In a large mixing bowl, add the flavored gelatin mix.
Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the gelatin mix and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.
Add 1 cup of cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir well to combine.
Let the gelatin cool for about 15 minutes at room temperature.
Stir in the drained crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, sour cream, and chopped nuts (if using). Mix until evenly incorporated.
Pour the mixture into a lightly greased or nonstick bundt pan, mold, or serving dish.
