Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.75 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, dried parsley, and dried thyme.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a spatula, mix the ingredients together until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 4

Transfer the meatloaf mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to form an even shape.

Step 5

In a small bowl, prepare the glaze by mixing the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C) as measured with a meat thermometer.

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute and makes it easier to cut.

Step 8

Serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and green beans. Enjoy!
