Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.75 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, egg, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Using clean hands, gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing to maintain tender meatballs.

Step 3

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used; you should have about 18–20 meatballs.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Working in batches if necessary, add the meatballs to the skillet, taking care not to overcrowd them.

Step 6

Cook the meatballs for 2–3 minutes per side, turning to brown evenly, until they develop a nice crust. This should take about 8–10 minutes total.

Step 7

Once browned, transfer the meatballs to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

At this point, you can either simmer the meatballs in your favorite marinara sauce for 15 minutes or continue cooking them in the skillet over medium-low heat until fully cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F).

Step 9

Serve hot with pasta, salad, or as an appetizer with dipping sauce!
