Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce (optional, e.g., Tabasco)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Bread crumbs (optional, for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Drain the lump crab meat if necessary, and pick through to ensure there are no shell pieces. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, Old Bay seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, hot sauce (if using), fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Gently fold in the lump crab meat, making sure not to break it apart too much. The goal is to keep chunks of crab meat intact for texture.

Step 5

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9-inch baking dish or an ovenproof serving dish.

Step 6

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the crab dip. If desired, add a layer of bread crumbs for additional texture.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the top is golden brown.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for about 5 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Garnish with additional chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm with crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.
