Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cups Marinara sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Step 2

Using your hands or a scoop, form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 12-16 meatballs.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in a single layer (work in batches if necessary). Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned all over.

Step 4

Transfer the browned meatballs to a plate and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer over low heat.

Step 5

Return the meatballs to the skillet, nestling them into the marinara sauce. Cover and let the meatballs simmer for 20-25 minutes, occasionally stirring gently to ensure even cooking.

Step 6

Serve the meatballs hot with pasta, crusty bread, or as a topping for sub sandwiches. Enjoy your delicious, homemade meal!
