Directions

Step 1

Crack the eggs into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the milk (if using), salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until fully combined and slightly frothy.

Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into small strips or bite-sized pieces using a knife or kitchen scissors.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the tortilla strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
