Ingredients

  • 12 oz Elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 3 cups Whole milk
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
  • 1 cup Frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2

Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, to form a roux.

Step 4

Gradually whisk in the milk, a little at a time, making sure there are no lumps. Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, steamed broccoli, and thawed peas. Stir until everything is evenly coated.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 8

In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with olive oil until the crumbs are lightly coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the macaroni mixture.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.

Step 10

Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
