Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup, for the meat mixture
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.25 cup Parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup, for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the milk.

Step 3

Add the ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley to the breadcrumb mixture. Mix everything together gently with your hands or a large fork, ensuring the ingredients are evenly combined without overmixing.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the greased loaf pan. Press it down gently to shape it into an even loaf, leaving a little space on the sides of the pan for any juices to collect.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard to make the glaze. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 8

Serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and green beans. Enjoy!
