Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • 0.25 cup Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form a crust. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
