Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 0.5 cups Brown sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons Ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk (for glaze)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Warm the milk slightly (about 110°F) and pour it into the bread machine pan.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter, the egg, granulated sugar, and salt to the pan.

Step 3

Layer the flour on top, making sure it covers the wet ingredients.

Step 4

Create a small well in the flour and add the active dry yeast. Do not let the yeast come into contact with the liquids.

Step 5

Set your bread machine to the 'Dough' cycle and start it. Let the machine mix and knead the dough. This typically takes about 1.5 hours.

Step 6

Once the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the machine and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface.

Step 7

Roll the dough into a 12x16-inch rectangle using a rolling pin.

Step 8

Spread 3 tablespoons of softened butter evenly over the surface of the dough.

Step 9

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.

Step 10

Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal it closed.

Step 11

Use a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss to cut the log into 16 equal pieces.

Step 12

Place the mini rolls into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, leaving a little space between each one.

Step 13

Cover the baking dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes or until doubled in size.

Step 14

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 15

Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.

Step 16

While the rolls are baking, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.

Step 17

Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.

Step 18

Serve warm and enjoy!
