Ingredients

  • 125 grams Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 50 grams Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 150 grams All-purpose flour
  • 20 grams Cornstarch
  • 50 grams Mini chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together using a whisk or hand mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, ensuring it's well incorporated.

Step 4

Sift the all-purpose flour and cornstarch together in a separate bowl, then gradually add it to the butter mixture. Stir gently until it forms a soft dough.

Step 5

Fold in the mini chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.

Step 6

Scoop out small portions of the dough (about one tablespoon each) and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.

Step 7

Gently press each ball with the back of a fork to slightly flatten the cookies. If the fork sticks, dip it in a bit of flour.

Step 8

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Step 9

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Once cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container or enjoy them right away with a warm beverage!
