Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup Mincemeat
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Step 3

On a lightly floured surface, roll out one puff pastry sheet to smooth any creases, and cut it into 4 equal squares. Repeat with the second puff pastry sheet to make 8 squares in total.

Step 4

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each square, followed by 1 tablespoon of mincemeat on top of the cream cheese.

Step 5

Fold each pastry square in half diagonally to create a triangle, then press the edges together with a fork to seal. If desired, trim the edges slightly for a neater finish.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to make an egg wash. Brush the top of each pastry with the egg wash, and sprinkle a little granulated sugar over the top for added crunch and sweetness (optional).

Step 7

Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them for expansion.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed up.

Step 9

Allow the pastries to cool slightly before serving. These can be served warm or at room temperature.
