Ingredients

  • 500 g Minced pork
  • 1 cup Thai sweet basil leaves
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 4 pieces Bird's eye chilies
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 2 pieces Eggs
  • 2 cups Steamed rice

Directions

Step 1

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Slice the bird's eye chilies thinly.

Step 2

Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Step 3

Once the oil is hot, add the chopped garlic and chilies. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the minced pork to the wok. Stir-fry the pork for 3-5 minutes, breaking up the pieces, until fully cooked and browned.

Step 5

Lower the heat slightly and add oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar to the pork. Stir well to coat all the meat evenly.

Step 6

Add 2 tablespoons of water to the wok to deglaze the pan and create a slight sauce. Stir everything together.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and quickly stir in the Thai sweet basil leaves until they are just wilted.

Step 8

In a separate small frying pan, heat a small amount of oil over high heat. Crack an egg into the pan and fry until the edges are crispy and the yolk is still runny. Repeat with the second egg.

Serve the minced pork with Thai basil over steamed rice, and place a fried egg on top. Enjoy immediately!
