  • 1 ear Fresh corn on the cob (in the husk)

Directions

Step 1

Place one ear of fresh corn, still in its husk, in the microwave. You do not need to remove any of the outer leaves or silk at this stage.

Step 2

Microwave the corn on high power for 4 minutes. If your microwave has low wattage or if the ear of corn is particularly large, you can add an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute of cooking time.

Step 3

Carefully remove the corn from the microwave using oven mitts or a towel, as it will be very hot. Let it rest for 1-2 minutes to cool slightly.

Step 4

Once safe to handle, hold the corn by the top of the husk (the silk end) and gently shake it. The corn should slide out cleanly, free of silk.

Step 5

Serve immediately as is, or add your favorite toppings like butter, salt, pepper, or any spices of your choice. Enjoy!
