Directions

Step 1

In a large microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, and salt. Stir gently to ensure the salt dissolves evenly.

Microwave the mixture on high power for 4 minutes. Carefully remove the bowl (it will be hot) and stir gently.

Return the bowl to the microwave and heat on high for another 4-6 minutes, or until you see the milk start to bubble and steam. Do not let it boil over.

Remove the bowl from the microwave and immediately stir in the vinegar or lemon juice. Stir gently for 30 seconds to ensure the acid is evenly distributed.
