Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground chicken
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 Burger buns
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 Tomato slices
  • 4 Cheddar cheese slices

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, parsley, paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Be careful not to overmix to avoid making the mixture too dense.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Form each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. If using an outdoor grill, lightly grease the grates with another tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 5

Cook the chicken patties for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F) and they are golden brown on the outside.

Step 6

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Step 7

Lightly toast the burger buns on the pan or grill to add to the texture and flavor.

Step 8

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 9

Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf, a cooked chicken patty, a tomato slice, and the top half of the bun.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Mick's Chicken Burgers!
