Ingredients

  • 60 grams bread crumbs
  • 0.5 whole red onion (finely diced)
  • 1 whole bell pepper (finely diced)
  • 75 grams corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 whole egg (optional, for binding)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 whole burger buns
  • 0 to taste optional toppings (lettuce, tomato slices, avocado, sour cream, salsa, etc.)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth with some texture remaining.
