Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 0.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cups Hot sauce
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp White vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels. If necessary, separate the drumettes and wingettes for easier handling.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until well coated. Set them aside for 10 minutes while the coating adheres.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Step 4

Carefully add the chicken wings in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the wings are golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Transfer the cooked wings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 5

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the hot sauce, butter, honey, and white vinegar. Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.

Step 6

Place the cooked wings in a large mixing bowl and pour the hot sauce mixture over them. Toss until the wings are evenly coated in the sauce.

Step 7

Serve the hot wings immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese, and a side of celery sticks. Enjoy the heat!
