Ingredients

  • 1 ball Whole wheat pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 large, minced Garlic clove
  • 1 cup, thinly sliced Cremini mushrooms
  • 4 ounces, thinly sliced Sliced ham
  • 1 cup, shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup, crumbled Feta cheese
  • 0.25 cup, thinly sliced Red onion
  • 0.5 cup, halved Cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.

Step 2

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the whole wheat pizza dough to your desired thickness. Set aside.

Step 3

In a small pan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 4

Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until they are soft and have released most of their moisture, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 5

Carefully remove the hot pizza stone or baking sheet from the oven. Place the rolled-out dough onto it.

Brush the remaining olive oil over the pizza dough, covering the surface evenly.

Step 7

Scatter the sautéed mushrooms, sliced ham, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, red onion, and cherry tomatoes over the dough.

Sprinkle the pizza with dried oregano, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the pizza back into the hot oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges of the crust are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle fresh basil over the top before slicing.

Step 11

Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve warm.
