Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 units green tea bags
  • 15 leaves fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 unit lemon
  • 10 units ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Place 4 cups of water in a pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Step 2

Once the water has reached a rolling boil, remove the pot from the heat.

Step 3

Add 4 green tea bags to the hot water and let them steep for 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 4

While the tea is steeping, wash and gently crush 15 fresh mint leaves to release their oils.

Step 5

Remove the tea bags from the pot, pressing them lightly to extract any remaining liquids, then discard.

Step 6

Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.

Step 7

Slice the lemon in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the tea. Reserve the other half for garnish.

Step 8

Add the crushed mint leaves to the pot and let the mixture cool to room temperature, about 10 minutes.

Step 9

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cooled honey green tea over the ice.

Step 10

Garnish each glass with a slice from the remaining half lemon and a sprig of fresh mint, if desired.
