  • 1500 milliliters water
  • 100 grams dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 2 units star anise
  • 1 unit cinnamon stick
  • 2 units bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 60 milliliters light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Step 2

Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add pork ribs to the pot and brown them on all sides, approximately 6-8 minutes.

Step 4

Pour in the water and bring it to a boil.
