Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground lamb
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 small red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pieces pita breads
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 150 grams plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the red bell pepper, red onion, and garlic cloves.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped red bell pepper, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, parsley, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Mix well using your hands to ensure all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape them into elongated patties about 10-12 cm long.

Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
