Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a small skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped mushrooms for 3-4 minutes until softened. Set aside to cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Mix thoroughly with your hands until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
On a large piece of parchment paper or cling film, spread the meat mixture into a rectangular shape about 1.5 cm (1/2 inch) thick. Make sure the edges are even.
