Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6-8 ounces each) salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large (minced) garlic cloves
  • 0.5 cup (chopped) fresh parsley
  • 0.5 cup (chopped) fresh cilantro
  • 0.25 cup (chopped) fresh basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions

Step 1

Brush both sides of the salmon fillets with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Set the fillets aside while you prepare the herb sauce.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, basil, red chili flakes, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, honey, and the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Step 3

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the preheated grill. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Step 5

Carefully flip the salmon using a spatula and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork and has an internal temperature of 145°F.

Step 6

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

Step 7

Drizzle the spicy herb sauce generously over the grilled salmon fillets and serve immediately. Pair with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad.
