Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 0.5 cup Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly mixed. Be careful not to overmix as it can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet.

Step 4

In a separate small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard to create the glaze.

Step 5

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Step 7

Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
