Ingredients

  • 0.25 pounds Ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 3 pieces Sesame seed hamburger buns
  • 0.5 cup Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices Dill pickles
  • 2 tablespoons Onion (finely diced)
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the Big Mac sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (roughly 2 ounces each) and shape them into thin patties slightly larger than your bun size. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat and cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Place one slice of American cheese on one patty to melt slightly.

Step 4

Toast all three pieces of the sesame seed bun (top, bottom, and the middle piece from a second bun) in the skillet or on a toaster until golden brown.

Step 5

Assemble the Big Mac: Spread the prepared sauce generously on the bottom bun and the middle bun. Layer the bottom bun with shredded iceberg lettuce, one cheese-covered beef patty, and two pickle slices.

Step 6

Place the middle bun on top of the first layer. Spread more sauce on the middle bun, followed by shredded lettuce, diced onions, and the second beef patty.

Step 7

Top the second patty with the top sesame seed bun. Gently press down to secure the layers.

Step 8

Serve immediately with fries and a cool beverage. Enjoy your homemade Big Mac!
