Ingredients

  • 6 medium Russet potatoes
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 2 cups shredded Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons chopped Fresh chives
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2

Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt to the water.

Step 3

Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
