Ingredients

  • 1.5 kilograms Potatoes
  • 500 milliliters Whole milk
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter
  • 2 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Breadcrumbs
  • 20 grams Butter (for greasing and topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a casserole dish with butter and set aside.

Step 2

Peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized chunks. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.

Step 3

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash thoroughly with a potato masher until smooth or use a ricer for an extra creamy consistency.
