Ingredients

  • 10 cups Popped popcorn
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cups Mini marshmallows
  • 3 ounces Jello gelatin mix (any flavor)
  • 1 as needed Cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a large mixing bowl by adding the popped popcorn and setting it aside. Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

Step 3

Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows to the saucepan, stirring constantly until the marshmallows are fully melted and smooth.

Step 4

Sprinkle the Jello gelatin mix into the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until the color is uniform and the gelatin is fully dissolved.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat. Pour the hot marshmallow mixture over the popcorn in the mixing bowl and use a spatula to gently fold the mixture until all the popcorn is evenly coated.

Step 6

Spray your hands lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking, then shape the coated popcorn into balls (about the size of a baseball). Work quickly as the mixture will set as it cools.

Step 7

Place the shaped popcorn balls onto a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper to cool and set completely.

Step 8

Once fully set, wrap the popcorn balls in plastic wrap or store them in an airtight container to keep them fresh until serving.
