Ingredients

  • 1 medium head Green cabbage
  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 0.75 cups Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cups Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Celery seeds

Directions

Step 1

Remove the outer leaves of the green cabbage and slice it in half. Cut out the core and shred the cabbage thinly using a sharp knife, mandoline, or food processor.

Step 2

Peel the carrots and grate them using a box grater or food processor.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots. Set aside.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, black pepper, and celery seeds until smooth and well combined.

Step 5

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.

Step 6

Taste the slaw and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or honey to taste.

Step 7

Allow the slaw to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
