Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 pieces fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.

Step 2

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the marinade. Stir well to combine.

Step 3

Place the ribeye steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.

Step 4

Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap, and let the steaks marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.

Step 5

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.

Step 6

Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill pan over high heat until smoking hot.

Step 7

Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan to prevent sticking, then carefully place the steaks in the pan.

Step 8

Sear the steaks on one side for 3-4 minutes, until a dark crust forms.

Step 9

Flip the steaks and add the fresh rosemary sprigs and unsalted butter to the pan.

Step 10

Use a spoon to baste the steaks with the melted butter and rosemary for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the steaks reach your desired level of doneness (130°F for medium-rare).

Step 11

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest on a cutting board, loosely covered with foil, for 5 minutes.

Step 12

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately, garnished with extra rosemary if desired.
