  • 100 grams Roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 75 grams Black and green olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 0.5 teaspoons Crushed chili flakes

Directions

Step 1

Drain the fresh mozzarella balls and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Divide them evenly into three separate bowls for each variation.

Step 2

For the Classic Italian variation: In a small bowl, combine 80 ml (about 1/3 cup) of olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, 5 torn basil leaves, 1 rosemary sprig, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Stir to mix, then pour the marinade over one bowl of mozzarella. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and gently toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 3

For the Mediterranean Herb variation: In another small bowl, mix 80 ml (about 1/3 cup) of olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, the chopped roasted red peppers, 1/4 cup sliced olives, 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and the lemon zest. Pour this mixture over the second bowl of mozzarella and stir gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 4

For the Spicy Chili-Honey variation: In a third small bowl, whisk together 80 ml (about 1/3 cup) of olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili flakes, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Pour over the third bowl of mozzarella and mix gently. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 5

When ready to serve, bring all three marinated mozzarella variations to room temperature for about 15 minutes before plating. Serve with crusty bread, crackers, or alongside an antipasto platter for a stunning presentation.
