Ingredients

  • 2 pounds kielbasa sausage
  • 1.5 cups ketchup
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the kielbasa into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced kielbasa and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned on both sides. Drain any excess grease if needed and set aside.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir well until the sauce is smooth and all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 4

Return the kielbasa to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked kielbasa and stir to coat the pieces evenly.

Step 5

Lower the heat to a simmer and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the sauce has thickened and the kielbasa is tender.

Step 6

Taste the dish and adjust seasonings if needed. Add a pinch more brown sugar for sweetness or an extra dash of Worcestershire sauce for tang if desired.

Step 7

Serve hot as a main dish over rice, or enjoy as an appetizer with toothpicks at your next gathering.
