Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, 0.5 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley if using.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a spoon, mix the ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix to keep the meatloaf tender.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it gently to shape it evenly.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients: 0.25 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 8

Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a salad.
