Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup White chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Chopped pecans (optional)
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter (for maple butter sauce)
  • 1 cup Maple syrup (pure)
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 quart Vanilla ice cream

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

Step 3

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and whisk until fully combined.

Step 4

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if using) using a spatula.

Step 7

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Step 9

While the blondie bakes, prepare the maple butter sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

Step 10

Stir in the maple syrup, heavy cream, and powdered sugar. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 11

Once the blondie has baked and slightly cooled, cut it into squares.

Step 12

Serve each blondie square warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle generously with the warm maple butter sauce.
