Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until the yeast becomes frothy to ensure it is activated.

Add the olive oil, salt, whole wheat flour, and two-thirds of the all-purpose flour (about 330 grams) to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
