Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • 60 milliliters Water
  • 300 grams Tortilla chips
  • 200 grams Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium Fresh tomato, diced
  • 1 medium Jalapeños, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup Black olives, sliced
  • 3 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Guacamole
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3

Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the seasoning is evenly distributed and the mixture thickens slightly.

Step 4

On a large, oven-safe platter or baking sheet, spread a generous layer of tortilla chips evenly.

Step 5

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chips.

Step 6

Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef over the cheese and chips.

Step 7

Top with black beans, diced tomato, jalapeño slices (if using), black olives, and green onions.

Step 8

Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the nachos.

Step 9

Place the nachos in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Carefully remove the nachos from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes.

Step 11

Garnish with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, and fresh cilantro (if using). Serve immediately and enjoy!
