Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.25 cup Barbecue sauce (for the meat mixture)
  • 0.5 cup Barbecue sauce (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spatula until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 3

Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Transfer the meat mixture into the pan, pressing it down to evenly distribute.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce with the brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth, then spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 5

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 6

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a moist, flavorful result.

Step 7

Slice and serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a crisp salad. Enjoy!
