Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.75 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, minced garlic, milk, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Using clean hands, gently mix the ingredients until fully combined, being careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Step 3

Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a round meatball. Repeat with the remaining mixture until all the meatballs are formed.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Working in batches if necessary, add the meatballs to the skillet in a single layer, leaving space between each one.

Step 6

Sear the meatballs on all sides until they are browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Use tongs or a spatula to gently turn them.

Step 7

Once browned, transfer the meatballs to a plate and set aside.

Step 8

If desired, add the meatballs to your favorite marinara sauce and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 9

Serve hot over spaghetti, with crusty bread, or as a delicious appetizer. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
