Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Mahi Mahi fillets
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 stalks Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Pat the mahi mahi fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, and minced garlic until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Place the mahi mahi fillets into the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the cooked fillets from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Lower the heat to medium and pour the prepared brown sugar soy glaze into the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the glaze thickens slightly.

Step 6

Return the mahi mahi fillets to the skillet, spooning the glaze over the top to coat evenly. Cook for 2 more minutes, turning the fillets gently to ensure they are well glazed.

Step 7

Transfer the glazed mahi mahi to a serving platter and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if using.

Step 8

Serve hot with sides like steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
