Ingredients

  • 2 packets Instant Maggi noodles
  • 500 ml Water
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 1 whole Red chili, chopped
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 medium Tomato, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sambal oelek
  • 100 grams Cabbage, shredded
  • 50 grams Bean sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons Spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fried shallots (optional)
  • 2 whole Lime wedges

Directions

Step 1

Boil 500 ml of water in a pot. Add the instant maggi noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes until almost done. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic, sliced onion, and chopped red chili. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 4

Push the garlic, onion, and chili to one side of the pan. Crack 2 eggs into the empty space and scramble them gently.

Step 5

Once the eggs are almost set, add the diced tomato, soy sauce, and sambal oelek. Stir everything together.

Step 6

Add the shredded cabbage and bean sprouts to the pan. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes until they are slightly wilted.

Step 7

Toss in the cooked noodles and mix until all the ingredients are well combined and the noodles are coated with sauce.

Step 8

Sprinkle chopped spring onions over the top and mix well.

Step 9

Transfer the maggi goreng to serving plates and garnish with fried shallots if desired.

Step 10

Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zesty flavor.
