  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoons paprika
  • 0.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to form a roux.

Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Cook the mixture for 3-4 minutes, or until it begins to thicken.
