Ingredients

  • 400 grams chickpeas (cooked or canned, drained and rinsed)
  • 60 grams tahini
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 clove garlic (clove, minced)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin (ground)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, and salt to a food processor.

Step 2

Blend the ingredients on high speed until a smooth and creamy texture is achieved, scraping down the sides as necessary.

Step 3

While blending, slowly add the cold water one tablespoon at a time to adjust the consistency to your preference.
