Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork cutlets
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 whole Lemon slices
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Place each pork cutlet between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet until about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 2

In a shallow dish, mix flour, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 3

In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.

Step 4

Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.

Step 5

Dredge each cutlet in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip in beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs lightly to adhere.

Step 6

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and unsalted butter over medium-high heat.

Step 7

Once the butter is melted and the mixture is hot, add the breaded cutlets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 8

Remove the schnitzels from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 9

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices for squeezing over the top.
