Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup unsalted breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup unsalted chicken broth
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, unsalted breadcrumbs, unsalted chicken broth, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 3

Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each meatball.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook each batch for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.

Step 5

Transfer the browned meatballs back onto the baking sheet.

Step 6

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired.
