Ingredients

  • 300 grams Ground chicken
  • 20 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Grated ginger
  • 2 stalks Chopped green onions
  • 50 grams Grated carrot
  • 1 tablespoon Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 liter Unsalted chicken broth
  • 500 milliliters Water
  • 100 grams Chopped bok choy
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, mix ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, one chopped green onion, grated carrot, low sodium soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.

Step 2

Place about a teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold and press to seal, creating small dumplings.

Step 3

In a large pot, combine unsalted chicken broth and water. Bring it to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the wontons to the boiling broth and reduce the heat to medium. Allow the wontons to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.

Step 5

Gently stir in the chopped bok choy and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is tender but still bright green.

Step 6

Season the soup with white pepper to taste.

Step 7

Ladle the soup into bowls, garnishing each serving with the remaining chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds.

Step 8

Serve hot and enjoy your homemade low sodium Pangsit Kuah!
