Ingredients

  • 8 sticks Low Sodium Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 cup Plain Breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 0 as needed Olive Oil Cooking Spray
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce, low sodium

Directions

Step 1

Cut low sodium mozzarella cheese into approximately 3-inch sticks, if not pre-cut.

Step 2

In a shallow dish, place the all-purpose flour.

Step 3

In another shallow dish, beat together the eggs and water to create an egg wash.

Step 4

In a third shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, and ground black pepper.

Step 5

Dredge each mozzarella stick first in the flour, then dip into the egg wash, and finally coat in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture. Repeat the egg wash and breadcrumb coating one more time for a thicker crust.
